A 47 year old man has been arrested and charged following an investigation into the supply of drugs in Fife.

This follows the execution of a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Rising Sun Road in Buckhaven yesterday, Thursday 10th January. Drugs paraphernalia and a quantity of cash were seized from the address.

The man is due to appear before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today, Friday 11th January.

Detective Sergeant Stewart Andrew of Fife's Proactive CID Team said: "Tackling the supply and misuse of drugs in the Kingdom under Operation Prospect is a priority and we assess all information we receive from the community about such activity in their areas. Drugs and the criminality associated with them can blight neighbourhoods and I would urge anyone with information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 so that we can take appropriate action."
