National corporate parenting plan published

Published 09 March 2018

Police Scotland has published its National Corporate Parenting Plan. On 1 April 2015, Police Scotland became a corporate parent under Part 9 of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, along with other organisations including all Local Authorities.

This places responsibilities on us to improve the lives and futures of care experienced young people and we will continue to work with partner agencies and other corporate parents to achieve this. We know that care experienced young people have the poorest outcomes, and that all too often their life chances are restricted.

Our Corporate Parenting Plan is a real opportunity to help improve the futures of care experienced children and young people and can be found in the PDF document below.
