Man named following death in Dalkeith

John LynchPolice in Midlothian can now confirm the identity of a man who died following an incident in Dalkeith. He was 41-year-old John Lynch from Rosewell.

Mr Lynch was found seriously injured in Woodburn Road on Saturday 3rd March and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday 5th March.

In a statement released through Police Scotland, the family of John Lynch said, " John was much loved by all of his family and will be dearly missed."

The family have asked for their privacy to be respected.
