Three charged after drug warrant executed in Kirkcaldy

Three people have been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act following a recovery of Class A and B drugs in Kirkcaldy.

A search warrant was executed at an address in the Sidlaw Street area on Tuesday 9 January where almost £1,000 of drugs were recovered.

Two woman aged 32 and 34-years-old and a 35-year-old man were arrested and later charged.

They are scheduled to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today (Wednesday 10 January).

Sergeant Jimmy Adamson’s from Kirkcaldy Police Station said: “We are working hard to tackle drug crime under Operation Prospect and are committed to bringing perpetrators before the courts.

“Drug supply and misuse can have devastating consequences on people’s lives and that of the local community.

“I would ask anyone who has concerns or information about drug supply or activity in their area to contact officers as soon as possible so we can progress such enquiries.”
