Seven charged following drug recoveries in Aberdeen

Seven people are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, Friday, 12 January, following two separate recoveries of drugs in Aberdeen.
Intelligence-led operations were carried out at an address in Constitution Street and another property on Union Street in Aberdeen yesterday (Thursday 11 January 2018).
A 55 year old man and two women aged 38 and 34 have been charged in relation to alleged drugs offences following the search at Constitution Street where heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis valued at around £6000 was recovered.
Two men aged 48 and 35 and two women aged 28 and 25 have been charged in relation to alleged drugs offences following the search at Union Street in Aberdeen where heroin and cocaine valued at around a high three-figure sum was recovered.
Detective Sergeant John Snedden said: "Police Scotland in the North East is committed to tackling drug misuse and the illegal supply of drugs into our communities.
"Information from local residents is key to helping us identify offenders and remove illegal substances from the streets. If you notice any unusual behaviour or you have information about drug misuse in your area I would ask you to call us with details on 101.
