Drugs worth £45,000 recovered in Inverness

Police in Inverness have recovered Class A and B drugs worth approximately £45,000 from an address in the Merkinch area of the city.

Quantities of herbal and resin cannabis as well as a quantity of cocaine were recovered from a property on Saturday, September 9.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today (Monday, September 11).

The same individual has also been charged with road traffic offences, in connection with a collision involving a car and a moped on Harbour Road in Inverness on Saturday afternoon.

Detective Sergeant Chris Macleod said: "We would like to thank the members of the public who provided information which led to this individual being apprehended.
