Police in Fife have arrested and changed a man under the Misuse of Drugs Act as part of the ongoing Operation Prospect campaign.
Officers from the Community Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at an address in Alexandra Street, Dunfermline on Thursday 14 December where they seized a number of cannabis plants.
The total value of drugs recovered is estimated to be approximately £6,400.
A 65-year-old man has been arrested and charged and is scheduled to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court at a later date.
Sergeant Neil McGurk from Dunfermline CIU said: “Operation Prospect focusses on targeting the misuse of drugs in Fife with the campaign already resulting in a number of arrests and harmful substances being seized from the area.
“We are committed to tackling the misuse of drugs and will work with our partners to bring offenders before the courts.
“Anyone wishing to report ongoing drug crime can do so by calling us on 101 or by making an anonymous report to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
