Val Smernicki

Police in North-East Fife are appealing for information to help trace a man reported missing in Tayport.

Val Smernicki 200Val Smernicki was last seen around 7.45pm on Sunday 10th July.

Since then the 71-year-old has not been in contact with friends or family and concern is growing for his welfare.

He is described as being 5 ft 11 inches tall, of slim build with short grey hair and clean-shaven. 

He wears glasses and when last seen was wearing a black hooded top, dark coloured trousers and black trainers.

Sergeant Neil Johnston of St Andrews police station said: 

“We are growing increasingly concerned for Val's welfare since he is not in the best of health.

“Anyone with information is asked to please get in touch with us.

“Similarly if Val himself sees this appeal, we would ask him to contact us or his family to let us know he is safe and well.”
