Police are appealing to the public for their assistance to trace John Bertram, 32, who was reported missing from his home in Gilfoot, Newmilns on Monday 27 February 2017.
John was last seen in Kilmarnock town centre on Thursday 23 February 2017, which he is known to frequent and his father reported him missing after he hadn't heard from him for a few days.
John is described as white, around 5' 8" in height, slim build, short brown hair, pale complexion and clean-shaven. He has a tattoo with the letter 'J' on his right hand and tribal tattoo on his right wrist.
When last seen, he was wearing jeans a cream hooded top and a black Superdry jacket. John is known to go into Kilmarnock town centre, as well as the area of Newmilns and Darvel where he meets with friends and associates.
Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area however attempts to locate John have so far proved unsuccessful.
Sgt Barrie Kirkland at Kilmarnock Police Office said, "John does tend to keep to himself but he does keep in touch with his father, who is concerned that he hasn't heard from him.
"He is known to travel into Kilmarnock town centre often, as well as visiting friends in his home town of Newmilns and also Darvel. We just want to know that he is safe and well.
"If anyone has seen a man matching John's description, or knows of his whereabouts, please get in touch with officers at Kilmarnock police station on 101."
